New species of snake discovered says scientists

Scientists say they’ve discovered a new slithery species in the Amazon Rainforest that may take the snake cake as the biggest in the world!

A team from the University of Queensland found several of the gargantuan snakes while filming an upcoming TV series in the Ecuadorian Amazon.

The team’s leader said they encountered a female anaconda that was more than 20 feet long.

Scientists say they’ve heard stories of even larger snake sightings in the region some up to 25 feet long and weighing more than 11-hundred pounds.

Typically found in or near water in warm parts of South America.

Anacondas are non-venomous snakes but somehow that still doesn’t make me feel better about any of this.
