The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified 156 new COVID-19 cases (66 males and 90 females) from the 1,016 tests carried out on Monday, March 7th.
The cases comprise 46 people under the age of 18, and 110 who are 18 years and older.
There were 48 people in isolation facilities, while 1,320 were in home isolation.
The public health laboratory has carried out 593,238 tests since February 2020, and recorded 56,376 COVID-19 cases (26,161 males and 30,215 females).
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of people with at least one dose is 160,503 (70.3 per cent of the eligible population).
The total number of fully vaccinated people is 150,066 (55.4 per cent of the total population or 65.7 per cent of the eligible population).
The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older.
