183 new COVID-19 cases recorded on November 24th

183 positive COVID-19 cases (82 males and 101 females) were reported on Wednesday, November 24th out of the 1,431 tests carried out by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

The new cases comprise 38 people under the age of 18, and 145 who are 18 years and older.

A total of 570 people were in isolation facilities, and 4,095 in home isolation.

The public health laboratory has carried out 430,808 tests since February last year, and recorded 24,615 cases (11,754 males and 12,861 females) of COVID-19.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of individuals with at least one dose is 153,261 (67.1 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of people who are fully vaccinated is 135,721 (50.1 per cent of the total population or 59.4 per cent of the eligible population).

The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older.
