The Ministry of Education, through the newly proposed reforms of the education system, is working on a teaching system that creates a bright future for every child.
That was the takeaway message as the Ministry hosted its first in a series of public consultation meetings to shape the ‘Education Transformation’ initiative.
It was reiterated that the Ministry is creating a system where no child is left out.
Minister of Education Kay McConney says they intend to build on the good foundation education already has.
She says the proposals came after consultations with key stakeholders.
Chief Education Officer, Dr. Ramona Archer-Bradshaw says the current education system is not adding value as it should.
She says children should have authentic experiences in schools, noting it’s important the education system has teachers who can inspire students.
