The issue of this year’s Common Entrance Exam was raised as the Ministry of Education was the focus during the Estimates Debate in Parliament today.
Director of Education Reform Dr. Idamay Denny says it could be the last one in Barbados if a recommendation from the Ministry is accepted by Cabinet.
She says the proposal is that from next year, Class Four students will remain primarily in their catchment areas and transition to a new structure.
Dr. Denny also outlined the criteria that will be used to determine how the children move from the junior academies to the academies of excellence.
