2022 Foreday Morning Jam returns to original route

The 2022 Foreday Morning Jam will be returning to its original route through Bridgetown this Crop Over.

The change comes after a number of bandleaders lobbied against the proposed double routes – from Searles, Christ Church to Lowlands Roundabout and back to Searles, and from King George V Memorial Park, St. Philip to Lucas Street and into Bushy Park.

The agreement was reached during an hour long meeting beginning just before 4:00 p.m., which included stakeholders from the Ministries of Culture, Health & Tourism, bandleaders and the National Cultural Foundation.

Following the meeting there was a press conference facilitated by the NCF, where Brian Worrell represented the Collective of Foreday Bands and spoke on their behalf.

He also reassured Barbadians that despite the recent spike in gun related violence, Foreday Morning will have security.
