There were 228 new COVID-19 cases, 107 males and 121 females, recorded on Monday, March 28th, from the 1,056 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.
The cases comprise 43 people under the age of 18, and 185 who are 18 years and older.
The number of people in isolation facilities was 47, while 958 were in home isolation.
As at March 28th, the virus had claimed 331 lives.
The public health laboratory has carried out 610,226 tests since February 2020, and recorded 58,862 COVID-19 cases (27,277 males and 31,585 females).
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of individuals with at least one dose is 161,076 (70.5 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of fully vaccinated people is 151,069 (55.7 per cent of the total population or 66.1 per cent of the eligible population).
The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older.
