335 people test positive for COVID-19

A total of 335 people – 155 males and 180 females – were identified as COVID-19 positive on Tuesday, November 9th, by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. The facility conducted 2,078 tests.

Of the new cases, 79 people are under the age of 18, and 256 are 18 years and older.

There were 899 people in isolation facilities, and 6,413 in home isolation.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of individuals with at least one dose is 150,914 (66.1% of the eligible population). The total number of people who are fully vaccinated is 130,910 (48.3% of the total population or 57.3% of the eligible population).

The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older.

The public health laboratory has carried out 407,217 tests since February 2020. Confirmed COVID-19 cases recorded since March last year, stand at 21,011 (10,123 males and 10,888 females).
