Barbados Labour Party Christ Church East candidate Wilfred Abrahams is confident, as he prepares to face one of four returning defeated Democratic Labour Party candidates from 2018, as well as a candidate from the Alliance Party for Progress, and a surprise independent entrant, who is a popular sports personality.
Mr. Abrahams was the first to arrive at the St. Christopher Primary School nomination centre, followed by former MP for the constituency, DLP candidate Dr. Denis Lowe, Alliance Party for Progress candidate Victor Knight and then the newest competitor for the constituency, veteran national surfer, ‘Action Man’ Brian Talma.
Mr. Abrahams says he is happy to have his original campaign team pretty much still intact from the last time and he believes that they have led from the front in very difficult times.
Democratic Labour Party candidate for the constituency, Dr. Denis Lowe fancies his chances in the race, as he makes his return to elective politics.
He says representation will be one of his platform issues.
Alliance Party for Progress candidate Victor Knight also has some key issues on his campaign agenda.
Meanwhile, independent candidate Brian Talma says he has been giving back to the community for many years. He says he is hopeful of bringing action and attention to issues facing the surfing community especially.
