Minister of Home Affairs, Information and Public Affairs, Wilfred Abrahams, says all Barbadians were given a chance to contribute to the Charter of Barbados.

He made the point in the Lower House yesterday, as he responded to critics during Debate on the document.

He says when it was being formulated, several public consultations were held to give people an opportunity to weigh-in.

Minister Abrahams says Cabinet at no point attempted to interfere in, oversee or influence the final result, but it did add a few points when the document came up for consideration.

Minister Abrahams says on further contemplation, he discovered two commonly used Bible passages, the Lord’s Prayer and Psalm 23 also do not contain the word God.
