All parents need help

Times have changed and so have the traditional modes of parenting today.

Given this, the Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, Kirk Humphrey is suggesting everyone, from parents to the Government and organisations including the Parent Education for Development in Barbados (PAREDOS), needs help.

He sees PAREDOS as an important partner and welcomed initiatives to assist parents.

The latest, the first of its Positive Parenting Seminar got underway Saturday at Solidarity House.

Trustee of the Sandy Lane Charitable Trust, Pippa Challis says the charity recognizes that children are the future.

While noting that there is no handbook on parenting, she says there is a lot to do and working with parents is the starting point.
