Ambassador presented with Medal of Independence

The President of the United Arab Emirates has conferred the Medal of Independence to Ambassador of Barbados Gabriel Abed.

He was presented with the medal during a meeting held at the headquarters of the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, the Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Al Hashimy stressed the UAE’s keenness to strengthen relations with Barbados in all fields.

For his part, the ambassador expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Mohamed, praising the development of relations between the two countries.
