A major disaster was averted in the City of Bridgetown as firemen valiantly fought a late-night fire.
At least two Government officials are tonight appealing to property owners to come forward and offer their houses as solutions in times of crisis.
The appeal follows a late-night blaze on Sunday which has left 45 people, including ten children, displaced.
Rachelle Agard has this report.
