This year’s May Day celebrations will not feature the usual parade of workers through the City, as has been the case for the past few years.
Instead, the Barbados Workers’ Union has organised a special ceremony and family fun day on Monday, May 2nd at the National Botanical Gardens, under the theme ‘Reset’.
General Secretary Toni Moore says the event provides an opportunity for workers and their families to come together and celebrate the Union’s 80th anniversary and the labour movement in Barbados.
