Several children are now better equipped to transition to secondary school.
This as students from the constituency of St Michael South making the transition to secondary school life, were provided with new backpacks and other supplies.
The donation was part of the constituency’s Back to School Programme.
Member of Parliament for St Michael South, Kirk Humphrey, says the initiative would not have been possible without the support of many partners.
While sharing his story of overcoming obstacles to get to where he is today, Minister Humphrey stressed the need for people to be kind.
He says kindness leaves an impression.
Youth Advocate, Khaleel Kothdiwala reminded those present that life is a journey, telling the students they are entering another chapter of their lives.
