Barbados’ Transport Board is contracting local businesses to install systems on the new electric buses.
The 10 buses arrived on the island this month and will add to the growing fleet.
Chief Operations Officer Lynda Holder said, that despite add-ons like camera systems being available overseas, it is important that where possible, local businesses benefit.
