Head of the Barbados Christian Council, Reverend Dr. Cicely Athill-Horsford, has described a virtual meeting with Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley and other officials this week as fruitful and positive.
It was called to discuss the current protocols governing church attendance among other things.
Noting the current restriction of 25 worshippers is limiting, Dr. Athill-Horsford says the Council has called for numbers to be determined on a case by case basis.
She says they’ve also advanced a proposal to have volunteers trained by the COVID-19 Monitoring Unit to help with the execution of its duties.
