Barbados Food & Rum Festival returns

The organiser of the Barbados Food and Rum Festival has used the down time from COVID-19 to ensure the festival has a long lasting impact on the Barbadian community when it returns in October.

That’s the message from the Barbados Tourism Marketing Incorporated.

The theme of the festival, set for October 27th to the 30th is ‘Feed the Future’.

The BTMI says part of the proceeds will fund three culinary scholarships.

Director of Public Relations and Communications, Aprille Thomas says the launch of the Barbados Food and Rum Festival will take place in Golden Square Freedom Park come Friday.

She says the event will be a bit different this year.
