Barbados Museum and Historical Society to host lecture series

Barbadians and visitors alike will have the chance to reflect on how the Barbados Museum has grown and changed as it celebrates its 90th anniversary.

This will be done through a weekly lecture series starting April 26, under the theme “Our Stories, Our Museum: 90 Years in the Making – the Barbados Museum & Historical Society”.

The Editor of the Museum’s Journal, Professor Pedro Welch, suggests the theme makes it clear the Museum is a part, and partner of this society.

He believes the lecture series will further help to integrate the Museum within the community.

President of the Museum, Sir Trevor Carmichael, says the lecture series has always played an important role in the Museum’s education outreach and overall cultural appreciation.
