Fire officials are pleading with motorists to be considerate when parking their vehicles in their respective communities, especially at night.
The appeal from Lead Fire Officer of the St. John Fire Station Anderson Walkes came after a number of parked vehicles in a St. John community proved to be challenge for fire officers responding to a bush fire at a vacant lot in Gall Hill early this morning.
CBC News was informed the blaze occurred after someone lit rubbish and the fire got out of control, spreading to an open unkempt lot.
Though the fire threatened properties, none of them were damaged and the blaze was eventually brought under control.
