Taxpayers owe BRA $1.8 billion in outstanding taxes

Barbadians owe the Barbados Revenue Authority $1.8 billion in outstanding taxes.

But Manager of Communications and PR Carolyn Williams-Gayle is urging those with outstanding balances to engage the authority.

Mrs. Williams-Gale acknowledges recent concerns surrounding an email received by many Barbadians of outstanding taxes.

However, she says the tax notification system is designed to improve overall tax compliance, and the BRA’s aim is to assist in that regard.
