Barbados has joined over 140 countries in pledging to improve human rights for all.
Permanent Representative of Barbados to the United Nations, World Trade Organisation and other international organisations in Geneva, Ambassador Matthew Wilson signalled the island’s commitment during the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the signing of the United Nations’ Declaration of Human Rights.
During the Human Rights 75 high-level event in Geneva, he delivered three pledges made by Barbados, noting the island has consistently shown respect for the rule of law.
