Barbadian officials are upbeat as the island prepares to host a business mission from Rwanda.
Invest Barbados, Export Barbados, the Barbados Tourism Marketing Incorporated and the National Cultural Foundation will be hosting the delegation from August 2 to 8.
The mission, led by the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) is aimed at fostering collaboration and promoting business, tourism and cultural opportunities between Barbados and Rwanda.
Director of Investment and Marketing with Invest Barbados, Renatta Mohammed says the mission is supported by a memorandum of understanding between the RDB and Invest Barbados.
She told the Morning Report focus will be on trade and investment.
Ms. Mohammed says a highlight of the trip will be a business forum which will provide a platform for cooperation and engagement.
