Barbados is ready for its meeting with the Financial Action Task Force.
This assurance from Attorney General Dale Marshall as he addressed the Anti-Money Laundering Authority Compliance Unit’s launch of a new website at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.
He told the gathering he’s optimistic about the outcome.
The Attorney General says getting off the Financial Action Task Force’s grey list does not mean automatic removal from the EU’s black list.
However, he says it’s important to do so as many local businesses need to do financial transactions with clients in Europe.
