Barbados and other countries in the region stand to benefit from a $22.16 million US Pandemic Fund – a collaborative effort between the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
The agreement for the pandemic fund was inked by the Executive Director of CARPHA, Dr. Joy St. John and the IDB Country Representative for Trinidad and Tobago Carina Cockburn during a landmark public signing ceremony.
Dr. St. John sees the Pandemic Fund as timely as it will build and strengthen the health systems of member states.
