BERT Plan Monitoring Committee releases report

The Barbados Economic Recovery and Transformation Plan Monitoring Committee has released its report which covers the 6 month period to September 30, 2023, and coincides with a formal EFF Review while also outlining the interim targets for the 3 month period ended June 30, 2023.

Chairman of the BPSA Trisha Tannis in releasing the second report under an International Monetary Fund and Government of Barbados 36-month arrangement under the extended fund facility and an arrangement under the resilience and sustainability facility intended to maintain and strengthen macroeconomic stability, support the structural reform agenda, and increase resilience to climate change in Barbados said that all.

The quantitative performance and indicative targets for June 30, and September 30, were met.

The report shows that during this period expenditure increased significantly by $93 million with a major portion of that related to additional interest expenditure of $85 million.
