The Director of the Barbados Meteorological Services is warning about the possibility of more powerful hurricanes based on record high sea surface temperatures in the Atlantic Ocean.
Sabu Best was speaking to members of the media during a tour of the BMS headquarters in Charnocks, Christ Church.
He says the higher than usual sea surface temperatures are in keeping with other changing weather patterns.
