The Challenor Creative Arts & Training Centre has received a boost towards its fundraising efforts.

This through a donation to the Centre’s Food Preparation Department by the Barbados National Terminal Company Ltd. (BNTCL), to purchase a popcorn machine which will be used for fundraising activities.

The BNTCL says the donation is in line with one of its core values, which centres on enhancing the youth of Barbados, especially those who may be challenged.

Upon being contacted about donating to this cause, Operations Engineer Kirk King, was eager to assist, saying “we strongly believe in supporting our youth not only academically, but creatively as well in order to foster well rounded leaders for our nation”.

The presentation took place on the grounds of the school on Thursday and Principal Sonia Pile, Deputy Principal Juliette Cumberbatch and Head of the Food Preparation Department Mona Lashley, were extremely grateful for the donation. Ms. Lashley says the funds will go a long way in helping to sustain the department and school at large.
