The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) advises residents in parts of St. John and St. George that as a result of the heavy rainfall being experienced, it has temporarily stopped pumping from its Bowmanston Station to avoid discoloured water entering the network.
Customers in the following areas may be affected by water outages or low pressure:
St. John: Bath Land, Carters, Cherry Grove, Cheshire, Cliff Cottage, Coach Hill, Codrington, Gall Hill, Lemon Arbor, Massiah Street, Pool Land, Sargeant Street, Sherbourne, Henley, Rose Gate, Moores Land, Haynes Hill, Stewart Hill, Society Hill, Small Hope, Spooners, Welch Village and surrounding areas.
St. George: Glebe, Guinea Land, Macaroni Village, Ashbury, Wakefield Tenantry and surrounding districts.
Water tankers have been dispatched to assist customers in the affected areas. The BWA apologizes for any inconvenience caused. (BWA)
