St Philip West Member of Parliament, John King, will not be contesting that seat when the next general election is called.
He made the announcement during a branch meeting at the Gordon Walters Primary School in St Patricks, Christ Church this evening. King stressed that he was not pressured to make this decision.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Mia Mottley confirmed that Minister of Innovation, Science and Smart Technology, Senator Kay McConney, will contest the St Philip West seat instead of King in the next general election.
