A man was shot shortly before midday at Fifth Avenue, Peterkin Road, Bank Hall in St. Michael.
Police Communications and Public Affairs Officer, Inspector Rodney Inniss just confirmed this to CBC News, saying the incident happened about 11:49 a.m.
He says, the man is nursing a gun shot wound to one of his feet, the injury does not appear to be life-threatening, and he has been taken for medical attention.
Police officers are still at the scene investigating.
