Residents and businesses in Haggatt Hall can now breathe a sigh of relief as the urgent repair work on a leak there has been fixed.
The Barbados Water Authority around 4:30 this evening updated that crews have completed the repair of a leak on a 10-inch main in the area.
The water supply is expected to return to normal gradually in any St. Michael areas impacted earlier by the urgent work.
This morning CBC captured footage of the water gushing in the vicinity of the One Haggatt Hall Complex.
The BWA in order to reduce the impact of flooding turned off the water supply to the area and there were also underground electrical cables close to the burst so the Barbados Light and Power was called in.
