The Barbados Workers Union is reporting success following a four-hour meeting with the management of Duty Free Caribbean.
This after seeking the intervention of the Labour Department following a walkout by staff of Bridgetown Duty Free yesterday
The meeting ended after 7:30 at the Labour Office in Warrens last night.
The BWU in a statement says it requested the meeting after a breach of agreement surrounding the payment of a lump sum of money to Bridgetown Duty Free employees led to a work stoppage at multiple branches across the island.
BWU General Secretary Toni Moore is satisfied with the outcome.
