Do you know who was the first female Member of Parliament in Barbados and which parish she served?

Today, with a female Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and a good number of other women serving in both the House of Assembly and the Senate, that historic achievement of a woman running for public office and winning could easily be forgotten.

Find out more about her.

We are celebrating Black history as we observe Black History Month.
