A 28-year-old man was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison, Dodds today, after being charged for a number of offences.
Dario Jermaine Shorey, of Hinds Gap, Halls Road, St. Michael, appeared at the District ‘B’ Magistrates Court, Eric Holder Municipal Complex, Tamarind Hall, Blackmans, St Joseph before Magistrate Douglas Frederick.
Shorey, who is charged with two counts of possession of a firearm and two counts of possession of ammunition offences, in addition to assault and traffic offences, was not required to plea to the firearm or ammunition offences, which are all indictable.
He pleaded not guilty to the assault charge as well as the traffic offences.
Shorey was remanded into custody at Her Majesty’s Prison, Dodds, St Philip and is scheduled to reappear at the District ‘B’ Magistrates Court on October 18, 2021. He is also set to appear at the District ‘A’ Criminal Court #2 on October 23, 2021.
