The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency’s Comprehensive Disaster Management capabilities have been bolstered thanks to a six-figure equipment donation from the U.S.
The operational equipment, which consists of GIS software, computers and communication devices, is valued around 140 thousand dollars.
Deputy Chief of Mission Joaquin Monserrate, made the presentation during a ceremony at CDEMA’s temporary Manor Lodge headquarters.
He stressed the tools can save lives, especially in times of emergencies and CDEMA’s Deputy Executive Director, Lieutenant Colonel Kester Craig, thanked the U.S. for its support.
