Senator Shanika Roberts-Odle has assumed the role of Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Barbados Medicinal Cannabis Licensing Authority.
According to a statement from the Authority, the appointment took effect on July 1st.
It says Roberts-Odle was the Programme Administrator at the BMCLA and served as second in command to the former CEO, Senator Dr. Shantal Munro-Knight, assisting as advisor and administrator on the implementation of the industry.
Chairman of the Barbados Medicinal Cannabis Licensing Board, Anthony Bryan, says her unique résumé is ideally suited to lead the Authority at this time, as it continues to roll out the industry’s strategic plan, especially with new licensees approved and ready to work.
