Christmas is coming early for some vulnerable Barbadian families.
It’s all thanks to the Ammar Empowerment Network and its distribution of Christmas hampers comprising food, including hams, and other items like toiletries and books.
Director Ambrose Carter says the initiative helps to ease the economic burden on those families severely impacted by COVID-19.
Meanwhile, Coordinator of the network Celeste Carter says families with special needs children are a focal point of the project.
