Present and past staff of the Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology have pooled financial resources to bring sunshine to the lives of two individuals and to assist three entities.
Under its Staff Charity Fund, Ajani Grazette, Blessing Taylor, the Nightingale Children’s Home, the Irving Wilson School and the Barbados Alliance to End Homelessness, collectively received $20,000 to help with expenses.
CIMH Principal Dr. David Farrell has pledged additional support from the institute.
Meanwhile, Senior Meteorologist Kathy-Ann Caesar is hoping the gesture and the 20 year old fund, will inspire other workplaces to mount similar programmes.
