A medical doctor wants Barbadians to be aware of the serious health risks from really hot weather.
The beginning of July was the hottest week on record, as a series of searing days saw global temperature records fall.
Dr. Adrian Lorde called attention to heat strokes, heat cramps and heat syncope/fainting, noting those at risk include the very young, the elderly and people who are obese.
He wants people to ensure they consume adequate amounts of fluid.
Dr. Lorde was a guest on CBC TV8’s Morning Report.
