The costliness of repairs to the existing Geriatric Hospital is among several reasons provided for why a new facility should be constructed.
Manager of the Hospital, Heather Payne-Drakes, highlighted the challenge during a townhall meeting on the proposed construction and design of a new hospital, which is currently ongoing.
She said the feasibility of continuous upgrades to the building, is simply not tenable.
