One week after the 2022 general election, COVID-19 cases at the Electoral Department have forced its closure.
Chairman of the Electoral and Boundaries Commission, Leslie Haynes confirmed he received an email from the Deputy Chief Electoral Officer informing him the office would be closed for three days because of COVID-related issues.
A notice shared by the Government Information Service said the public would be informed of its reopening.
Mr. Haynes also said the Department has not yet conducted a post mortem of last week’s general election, but that it would de done in due course.
