Long-held burial traditions for some in Barbados have had to reconcile with emergency measures regarding the handling of COVID-19 victims.
While protocols allow close relatives of COVID-19 victims one last glimpse, they are not able to touch the body or bathe it.
Chairman and Funeral Director of Lyndhurst Funeral Home, Peter Griffith says the handling of the body should be done by a professional.
Lyndhurst is the lone firm handling the transfer of bodies of all COVID-19 victims on island.
Mr. Griffith assured the public his company is working with caution and is adhering to stipulated guidelines.
