Head of the COVID-19 Monitoring Unit Ronald Chapman has dismissed the notion that event promoters are having to dish out large sums of money to have officers of the Monitoring Unit at their events.
Responding to a barrage of social media posts by promoters expressing frustration over what they claim to be a situation where they sometimes pay over $1000 for up to six officers, Mr. Chapman said they are confusing the Monitoring Unit with another service.
