COVID-19 outbreak at QEH brought under control

May 7th, 2022

The COVID-19 outbreak at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital has been brought under control.

This announcement comes just days after a decision was made to temporarily close Ward B7 to visitors after three cases were detected by the Hospital’s Infection Prevention and Control Department.

In a statement, QEH says the three positive patients were placed into isolation and transported to the Harrison’s Point Isolation Centre or Frank Walcott Assessment and Isolation Centre for continued care.

All patients remaining on Ward B7 underwent routine COVID-19 testing.

The results of those tests were all negative.
