The Ministry of Health and Wellness is advising the public that the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccines that are currently in stock will expire next week.
In a release, Acting Chief Public Health Nurse Larone Hyland, explained that one batch of the vaccines will expire on Wednesday, August 9, with the other expiring on Friday, August 11.
The Sinopharm vaccine was the only type being offered recently as the AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, adult Pfizer vaccine, and the paediatric Pfizer vaccine for children ages five to 11, are currently not available.
The Ministry says the public will be notified when vaccines are in stock.
