The COVID-19 outbreak at the Geriatric Hospital has been brought under control.
Confirmation of this from Chief Medical Officer, Dr. the Most Honourable Kenneth George.
He says more details on the situation will be released shortly, but he assures visitors can return to the facility to check on their loved ones.
Dr. George spoke exclusively to CBC News on the sidelines of the SIDS Health Conference at Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, where the focus is NCDs and Mental Health.
The CMO says he’s now looking forward the outcome document, which charts the way forward for the management of chronic diseases and mental health issues in Barbados and other small island developing states.
