Police probe 3 shooting incidents in 24 hours

Police are probing three shooting incidents in the past twenty four hours.

According to lawmen the first report of gun play occurred in the Chapel Gap, St. Barnabas area where a 41 year old man was shot in the stomach around thirteen minutes after two yesterday evening.

Police say the two unidentified assailants subsequently fled the scene in a car.

The injured man was transported to the QEH for treatment.

Lawmen say in a separate incident, a man was shot around half past one yesterday afternoon after he was approached and robbed of a gold chain by two armed, masked men at Paradise Village in St. George.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Additionally police are reporting that a 42-year-old woman was forced to seek medical attention after she was shot in the foot by two armed, masked men dressed in black.

This incident occurred around nine minutes after three this morning at Whitehall Main Road in St. Michael.
