Barbados has welcomed developments arising from the conclusion of the Accra Reparations Conference in Ghana, which will see the African Union and CARICOM working together on the global reparations movement.
During that conference, which the island’s Ambassador to CARICOM, David Comissiong attended, delegates also announced the establishment of a global fund based in Africa aiming to accelerate the campaign.
Ambassador Comissiong says Barbados and Barbadians continue to play a leadership role in the quest.
Mr. Comissiong was a guest on the Conversations on CARICOM segment of CBC TV8’s Mornin’ Barbados.
