Ten outstanding educators have been recognized for their contribution to education in Barbados.
The distinguished teachers from the nursery, primary, secondary and special needs levels were selected by a blue-ribbon panel of judges.
They were awarded with a trophy and a monetary prize, during the RF National Distinguished Teachers’ Awards.
The 2022 Awards programme is supported by a cadre of local companies, including the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation, which salute Barbadian educators.
Chief Education Officer, Dr. Ramona Archer-Bradshaw welcomed the recognition of the teachers through the initiative by RF Merchant Bank.
She says teachers are the mentors and role models who influence the lives of children in profound ways.
President and Chief Executive Officer of RF Merchant Bank and Trust Barbados Limited, Jillian Nunes lauded the honourees.
